Tanishia Smith, MPH, CHES
CECA Project Manager
As a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Tanishia is committed to the profession of health education and to the promotion of health equity, specifically related to sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing (SRHW). In her role as Project Manager at CECA, Tanishia works closely with team members and external CECA partners to establish and support project needs, ensure adherence to project targets and milestones, and to facilitate day-to-day logistics and event coordination.
Her work within the public health sector and has included providing administrative support and project management services for projects related to decreasing child/youth morbidity and mortality resulting from severe illness, improving early childhood care and education services, improving Veterans health, decreasing Veteran homelessness, and serious mental illness awareness. Tanishia has earned a reputation for strong communication, time management, goal setting, and task prioritization abilities.
Tanishia is a graduate of the George Warren Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, where she received a Master’s in Public Health. She received a bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from the University of Southern Illinois of Edwardsville.
